For US startups & businesses

Offshore Software Development for US Startups Senior engineering from Pakistan, run the way you'd run it in-house

Localhost Labs is a software studio in Multan, Pakistan. We build web apps, SaaS products, mobile apps, AI features and automation for founders and businesses in the US and elsewhere.

Offshore development has a mixed reputation, usually because of vague scopes, junior hand-offs and code that clients don't control. This page explains how we avoid those problems and how to evaluate any offshore partner.

Why US founders go offshore

Most US startups we speak to aren't looking for the cheapest possible code. They want to ship a first version or a new feature without spending months recruiting, and keep their runway for sales and marketing. An offshore partner makes sense when you need a full team (design, backend, frontend, mobile, DevOps) quickly, for a defined piece of work.

Time zones: making US–Pakistan collaboration work

Pakistan Standard Time is UTC+5 year-round, so a US East Coast morning is our evening. We use that overlap for standups, demos and decisions, and do the deep work while you sleep, so progress is waiting for you each morning. West Coast teams usually keep one fixed call slot a few times a week plus written updates.

Red flags when hiring any offshore team

Offshore development works well when the basics are right. Walk away, from us or anyone else, if you see:

  • A price quoted from a one-line brief, with no questions about your users or business
  • Code kept in the vendor's repositories or hosting accounts
  • No named technical lead, or a sales contact who disappears after signing
  • Open-ended hourly billing with no milestone acceptance
  • No working software to review until the end
  • Reluctance to sign IP assignment or non-solicitation clauses

Your first 30 days with us

  • Week 1: qualification call, NDA, and paid discovery kick-off
  • Week 2: written scope, architecture, milestones and fixed price for sign-off
  • Weeks 3–4: first milestone in progress, with a working build in your staging environment
  • Ongoing: a fixed weekly call in your morning, async updates daily, and a demo at every milestone

Already have a prototype?

Many founders now arrive with something built using AI coding tools. That's a great starting point. We review what's there, keep what's solid, and harden the rest: authentication, data security, payments, error handling and deployment.

10FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Do you have a US office or US entity?+

No. We're based in Multan, Pakistan, and work with US clients remotely. Contracts, invoicing and payments are handled internationally in USD.

How do you handle security and access?+

We work in your accounts with least-privilege access, follow your security policies, and remove access at the end of the engagement.

Can you work alongside our in-house developers?+

Yes. We can join your repo, code review process and Slack, or own a separate piece of the product end to end.

What if we want to bring development in-house later?+

That's a normal outcome. Because the code lives in your repository with documentation, handover is straightforward.

How do we start?+

Book a free 30-minute qualification call. If it's a fit, a paid discovery produces the scope, milestones and fixed price in writing.

Can you sign our MSA or use our contract template?+

Usually, yes. Send it over during discovery and we'll review it, or we can use our standard agreement.
